Comparing the 1er Cru to the village-level I had 2 days ago. Similar Givry expression of Pinot, but with a more perfumed nose and higher concentration. More cranberry notes, a little more acid. Very elevated, and way more length. I can definitely appreciate the layering, structure and more complex finish, but for me I like both tiers the same. The village-level is straightforward but so tasty. This is refined but a maybe a little fussy. Both so good. Different tastes for different evenings. Great little known Burgundy producer!! — 23 days ago
