Achello: dark ruby coloration light and fruity Syrah florals. From 3-4th barrel use: so not a lot of structure from oak. Nose- florals, red berries, anise. On the palate, light, fruity, red berries, some anise. Easy to drink. Good happy hour wine. — 6 months ago
Last ‘17 in cellar! In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit more! Tasting well now! — 3 years ago
La Braccesca - Bramasole 2021/ Aged in new French oak. Pure Syrah. Inky ruby coloration. On the nose, dark cherry, cassis, vanilla. On the palate, full bodied, rich mouthfeel, dark berry, cassis, spice and loads of chocolate. Long chocolaty finish. 9.8. — 6 months ago

Surprise! Still haven’t opened it so rating it is a “hope”…think I may have opened a bottle previously…was too soon but hints of greatness linger. These need 10 yrs+ but I think it’s time...2010 Brunello by a famed better winery…bought in Cortona, Italy, next door town to the Montalcino-Montepuciano twin towns of great Italian wine. Resisting the temptation is like resisting “The Borg”. (A Star Trek reference…where are you Capt’n Kirk?) — 3 years ago
