I’m on a Sangiovese kick (as that’s where I fell in love with wine). This is by far the best I’ve had in recent memory. Full, high tannins and that deep cherry and earthy Italian countryside taste. Highly recommend. — 3 years ago
This was (is)...pretty damn divine. I literally stopped mid-conversation. Starts out with some pretty intense red fruitiness sitting in a pocket of rich earthy tobacco but then! It just evolves giving ya some ash, leather, notes of spearmint, rose petal here, a broken twig there all with this great long chewy finish. It’s like a goddamn stroll through through some majestic countryside where you stop and check out all those little details. — 4 years ago
Big pastry guy as you can see. This baby never stays empty.
The wine seller calls these grapes “happy grapes.”
Plummy, rich, dark, sweet like licorice and cedar. A forest perfume of pine.
They’re definitely happy because I’m happy. This is a succulent, rich wine. A lot to enjoy. A good rouse between tannins and acid on the palate, in a good way, like an entertaining joust, a rumble in the ring, or the bull and the toreador. This is the downs I imagine Hemingway drinking from the bottle at a spontaneous picnic on the Spanish countryside in his real life The Sun Also Rises.
Dry, but not leaving you puckered and wanting more, just the right balance with a creamy mouthfeel of silken roses to follow, lingering on the palate like the twirl of the toreador’s cape in the ring. — 2 years ago
Another French sparkling I would have to celebrate with my love, family and friends. Catches your mouth with vigor and flavors! Crisp with bright citrus and a touch of countryside. — 4 years ago

Cool label. Folk art vibes and a fancy crest. Lovely color. Slightest rust in the red rose petal paint palate. Aroma is slightly musky with a floral element. Zinger Tea. (That’s rose-hips). Flavors are herbs and citrus peal. Some berry Danish. Very Italian flavors. Clean and clear on the tongue too. This is a nice flavorful classic from the hills of the Italian countryside. — 2 years ago
Working my way through 2009-2015 and the 2011 is bold juicy and ready. Good for kings day pasta in the countryside xxx — 4 years ago
Crisp, flavorful, refreshing on a summer afternoon. Relishing in our memories of the Orvieto countryside. — 5 years ago
A blend of 80% Petit Rouge with the rest from Vien de Nus, Doucet, Fumin, and Mayolet - grapes I’m totally blind to. It’s beautiful and speaks the language of the rustic Italian countryside. It has the power, transparency, and boldness of Nebbiolo, but with cool dark berries instead of bright cherries and leather. — 5 years ago

Violet, Barney purple. Aromas of cedar and cinnamon. Tanneries and countryside. Cloves and boozy watermelon.
Dry, tannic, muted acidity. Herbal quality. Nice, but waiting for it to open up. — 2 years ago
