Grown on high hills that trap just enough heat to coax some ripeness out of these grapes during the summer. Chardonnay is not as frequently grown in Trentino, but the terroir allows for the adventurous choice. The vintner only gets one bottle per plant, ten times less than a big vintner. No oak, no lees. This is a complex, savory wine, with no butterscotchy or toffee like Chardonnay characteristics. Lean and bright, but with some tanks grip and caramelized orchard fruit. 500 cases produced. — 8 years ago
