Oddly this tasted past it’s prime... but it’s color was still vibrant and it had some acidity upfront and tannins on the back. I almost wondered if it were in midlife crisis as I’ve had hermitage older than me that was in better shape than... me. It had a carmelized licorice wet olive leaf mid palate. I fought through it and enjoyed the experience. — 4 years ago
"He plays a game with which I am not familiar" is a famous golf saying. I'll have to borrow from this by saying this is a liquid with which I am not familiar. — 11 years ago
2009 Delas Freres Marquise de la Tourette Hermitage Blanc ( 90% Marsanne and 10% Roussanne)
Golden yellow color is pleasing. The nose is full of lemon, apple, pear, white peach, and apricot with some very mild spice, and perhaps some very light dried green herbs.
The palate is rather full and round with decent depth...with lemon, pear, white peach, and a floral component. The palate finishes with a light oily consistency , some light smoky minerality, and light mouth coating dryness/tannin. Decent length.

Compared to the 2019 Tourette this is better but the 2019 Premetta is the sexiest — 4 years ago
