This could pass as a fine Village wine but I couldn’t find the Grand in this Cru. Good structure and mouthfeel, fully mature. — 3 years ago

Fixin Pinot Noir 2015

That’s a prime Tuesday night bottle, on Monday. Fun, bright, evolves. Roast a chicken, roast some veg, rip some baguettes. — 6 years ago

Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2002

Intriguing aromas of roasted meats, olives and garden herbs. Delicious mouth feel of dried spiced fruits. Expected structure of a 2002 of with balanced acidity — 9 years ago

Clos Village Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2014

Wonderful smell of cherries and strawberries. Taste is sour cherries and feels a bit tight like it is holding back from more flavor. First sip also revealed a bit of burnt wood. Great with meal of artichoke stuffed chicken with Swiss. I’m thinking if I wait a few years it might be better. — 5 years ago

Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1999

Philippe Livera is how most know the wine. A recent purchase and a good one, this is a super 99 grand cru that will just get better. Red and blue-fruited, it has more density than expected for Chapelle, a little secondary and a little tertiary development, ripe tannins, hints of sous bois, there is good acidity and balance and a creamy mouthfeel--wife says "yummy." Super wine. — 8 years ago

never had a bad bottle from Livera and nobody knows him. Wine-searcher lists some good values for his Chapelle.

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2016

Still young. Power and great structure, as you might expect from Gevrey-Chambertin. Performs well above the station of a Bourgogne level wine. — 6 years ago

Reserve Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1999

as good as my last bottle, really lovely wine from one of my favorite vintages. Super density, silky mouthfeel, great balance of red and dark fruit, no sous bois yet, still secondary. Nice wine, under the radar producer--P. Livera. — 8 years ago

@Alan Weinberg Definitely a new name for me.

This wine is a métayage from Claude Dugat--Dugat's Chapelle is the same and 4 times as costly. Like a Bonnefond-Roumier.
