Great value! — 25 days ago
Gorgeous nose of deep cherry fruit, tweed jacket, minerals and wet earth. Gorgeous and classic SLB and classic Girard. Fleshy and ripe but excellent cut and grip. Superb supple red fruits and nice finesse for such a humble wine. Tiny berry fruit intensity and so sappy. Great dissipation on the finish. — 3 months ago
Gorgeous richness and freshness along with powerful tannins and a deep structure with unreal sap and density. Classic Narbantons. Nose is perfect cherry and some dusty earth. Unreal depth, cut and sweetness. This is an epic Narbantons. Wow. Great balance and just so much material. Insane inner mouth aromas. Can’t wait to see what air does. This got fruitier with air tannins more integrated. — 14 days ago
Showing well out of the gates with blackberry and earth on the nose that has more to reveal. Palate is deep and very 18, thick with fruit, tannins and mineral. But juicy and with terrific energy. Has the largesse of this 1er Cru which works well in a vintage like this. Curious to see how it evolves. — a month ago
Continuing to check out the recently arrived 22 Burgs and they continue to impress. Gorgeous nose of intense spice, light toasty oak, dark flowers, and gorgeously clear red cherry fruit. Palate is sappy and elegant with spice and flowers and glorious darker cherry fruits. So refined, sleek and subtle. Awesome breadth and depth and terrific freshness and velvety and sweet tannins. So brilliant. Let’s see where air takes this. Getting more dense with air and wow that fruit. — 2 months ago
Expressive nose of sour cherries, hint of farm, delicate, great acidity and elegance, a bit pricey, such is Burgundy. — a month ago
Glorious nose. So exuberant. Rich, dense black and red cherries. Cranberry and black plum. Gorgeous lift. Palate has great freshness and deep black and red cherry fruit. Very pure and terrific acidity fans out on the long finish. Really lithe yet classic dense, structured and classic Aloxe. Really ripe, sweet, chewy and dense tannins. Girard always delivers. Fruit set that is developing on the finish is fantastic. 2019 is a modern day 1999. As this airs it gains in opulence, sap and a little toasty oak. Ideally a few more years. — 4 months ago

Nose is ripe with late season red cherries. Spice, earth. Wet earth and tweed jacket. Really spectacular fruit on the nose. Almost a cola like intensity but it’s all Burg fruit. Terrific aromas. Really nice layered spices beyond that. Almost middle eastern. Juicy and so concentrated with such sappy and pure fruit. Man what amazing fruit here. So long and slippery. Really open now but will develop. More 22’s I taste more I have to pat myself on the back for making the call these would be open when they landed. Not one closed 22 so far. Fantastic wine. — 3 days ago
