Very drinkable and very pleasurable. Giving off hints of oily aromatics and a stony cooler growing site. Deep but easily accessible at once. Great value. Heard it was the last vintage this vineyard would be in red. — 5 years ago
Great table wine for the Meuneveaux portfolio. Nothing serious about it. All freshness and class that you want from a good Bourgogne with the faintest hints of the neighboring villages. Great value to be sure. — 5 years ago
So much here. Plenty of time to calm down and come together though quite a lot of fun now nonetheless. Endless energetic ringing. — 5 years ago
Definitely not integrated at all. It’s kind of a mess right it really seems and in a great way very fun. Kept flip flopping in and out of tropical fruit to mineral to fat to savory to salty. It was crazy. Interested to see how it plays out over the next decade. 👌🏼 — 5 years ago
Domaine Meuneveaux knows how to make Aloxe-Corton look really good. Nothing rustic about this. Nothing substantially dense about this. A lot of fun drinking this. Absolutely gorgeous complex oily aromatics transform over days to become a buzzing glossy sweet chocolate sheen on the palette. Great stepping stone to understanding the Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru from Meuneveaux, a genius wine that easily will make plenty of grand cru wines from the neighbors blush in embarrassment, perhaps even Meuneveaux’ own cuvees of Grand cru overshadowed 🤔 — 5 years ago

Rating is capped for potential and LOL I am seeing that I rated this a year ago at 93...honestly it’s basically the same juice but I didn’t cap it for potential last time, the wait is real. There is a lot hidden inside of this grand effort. Deep juice, richness, dark berries, not heaviness, energetic, new oak is present and Is helping keep this very young right now. Has the traits of a grand cru on mid volume. Feminine and beautiful. A lot here currently not giving itself up. — 4 years ago
