Our first German Riesling, from Mosel. W’s favorite! Recommended from Total Wine. Acidity to us is perfectly balanced by mild to moderate sweetness. Label says mineral notes (slate in the soil here), peach and slight lime. W found is from the Moselland cooperative with winemaker Dominic Meyer. Imported by Winebow in NY, corporate in Va. — 2 years ago

Violets, dark fruit and black olives on the nose.
Bold and complex with ripe black berries, dark plums, sage and savoury qualities.
Really well balanced for being this young.

Always a pleasure when I drink this bottle. Complex, rich, just a touch of oak.

Ripe black cherries dripping juice, a bit of new leather purse. One that’s going to last. Slightly Puckery tannins. Oak planks, smooth and warm with the sun. If the Southern weather weren’t record breaking mid-October, I could wear one of my lonesome sweaters out on the porch as the sky pinks. I’m content, dog by my side- just delicious (the wine). Crab chowder would be tasty- along with some Kelsey Lu cello. — 9 years ago
