New grape for me, and new Broc for me. Love it! The nose is a bit green and underripe, but the fruit is amazing. Red currant, raspberry, black cherry, some strawberry, but damp and dark, then it turns dry. Great balance of fruitiness and dryness towards the end. Some tannins on the finish and subtly herbal, but not much. Pure dry fruit for quite a while. Comforting winter red. Lovely label. With pizza.
As with other Brocs, this doesn’t hold up so much on the second day. Drink fresh. — 10 months ago
Super floral, pretty, some lemon and faint pear, mineral aromas and flavors show with aeration, I so love this Viognier (75 cases in 2022, barely more in earlier years), and after 20+ years of drinking the various vintages of this wine, kudos to Jonathan and the “Susans” for making a consistently wonderful foothills Viognier year after year!! — 2 months ago

This is the first mourvedre that I have absolutely loved. It is from Skinner Vineyards. : 2018 ElDorado Mourvedre. The nose opens this show with black licorice and lilac. Then comes the first taste - oh my goodness. Lots of dark fruit, boysenberry, blackberry, black cherry, and maybe even a little raspberry on the finish. Mid pallet brings in some nice velvet chocolate texture and flavors. Then there is the Oaky very dry pallet finish. I give this wine an amazing 9.6. I love this wine. I’m ordering more. I can’t wait to try their Syrah tomorrow as well as their petite sirah on Wednesday!!!!! — 7 days ago
