The 2021 Greco di Tufo Le Arcaie is understated and delicately floral, with baked apple and ginger aromas forming in the glass. It easily flows across the palate, showcasing crisp green apple fruit and mineral tones that collect toward the close. A tart concentration lingers as the 2021 tapers off to freshness. While a bit restrained, I find Le Arcaie incredibly pretty and easy to like. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — 3 years ago

My fondness for Silla Sebaste grows with each glass. This is my first Bussia from this producer and it’s approachable on opening and opens up even more over several hours. Pronounced floral and cherry nose. Mouth watering cherry and other dark fruits, spices, and add a little smoke and leather from front to mid palate. The moderate lingering tannins start to take over late palate and dry the mouth through the finish. Wonderful experience with a lot going on. — 5 years ago

Feteasca neagra. Romanian, locally grown grapes. Dry, slightly fruity. Plum, vanilla full bodied. Great pairing with hearty Romanian dishes. — 2 years ago
One of my favorite whites from any region. It’s bright, no oak, with great citrus, ripe melon and floral notes. A real gem of the Valle — 3 years ago

The Barbera although only 15% still shines through. Fruity with licorice and leather. Medium tannins. Tasty with nuts and cheese! 2007. Almost done. Drink it now. — 11 years ago

First - I love the artwork
On opening - lovely aroma of dark fruit tobacco undergrowth.
When lasted 3.5 years ago it took a day to open. Now the huge tannins blew off in about 2 hours. - then hit the sweet spot - lovely aroma including earthiness - cherry and other dark fruit on the palate with mouthwatering acidity. Nice balance of mossy earthiness, mineral, truffle and other elegant mature flavors that are meant to be savored. The tannins are still present but build to a long finish and now enhance regather than distract from the experience. — 2 years ago
