La Magdalena Napa Valley Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Lovely! Soft floral nose. Wonderful mouthfeel with elegantly softened tannins, and a bold acidic backbone, and ripe blue and black fruit. Little camphor, blueberry compote, wet stone. Nice finish. Drinking well now pnp. My first bottle but I’ll be drinking some more soon. — a month ago

Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Give it some time to open up and this wine will sing! Gorgeous black fruit aroma. Blackberry, dark plum, dark fruit, dark chocolate, graphite. Solid structure, will age for a couple more decades for sure. But this wine is drinking very well, though I may lay my other bottles for another couple years at least. Wonderful wine! Favia always so good! — 3 years ago

Excellent wine with a lovely dinner. Fruit is ripe, black and dark red, tannins are supple, well balanced. Medium finish. Always a pleasure this one. — 5 months ago

Au Paradis Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Okay, one big note for all 7 of the terrific Xmas eve and Xmas wines. Started off with the cab/cab franc blends. Peter Michael Au Paradise ‘12 at 93 pts. The splendid Favia Cerro Sur ‘07 at 95 pts. Xmas eve traditional dinner of Meatballs and penne at 98 pts beat the Luigi Einaudi barolo mag ‘10 at 92 pts. Early Xmas day drinking started with a solid ‘16 VASO sauv blanc at 93 pts. Traditional Turkey dinner was accented by my first 100 pts post on Vinous : ‘15 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chard. Into the bad ass cabs. ‘07 Chappellet Pritchard Hill at 96 pts and ‘05 Shafer Hillside Select at 99 pts. What a holiday drinking lineup to toast a shit 2020. — 5 years ago

Favia

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.

Strong fruity nose and Full-bodied with medium acidity.

Very dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing black fruits, chocolate notes, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, cedar, earth, peppercorn, leather, coffee and spices.

This delicious 3 year old Napa Cabernet is still young and needs a 5 years in the bottle to mature properly.

Already enjoyable even by itself but is showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

15% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$250.
