This is how a Lange should taste. Juice well integrated tannins, well balanced. And impressively long — 5 years ago
Heavily tannic but well integrated. Cherry, non French oak, and herbal funk. Great Barolo. — 8 years ago

Corposo, intenso e vellutato. Ottimo passito vinificato in nero. — 12 years ago
I certainly need more experience with #barbaresco but this was a lovely wine, #nebbiolo 🌹, bright fruit, red floral notes are there but much more subtle tar and earth notes with soft tannins and some lip-smacking quality on the finish. — 10 months ago

1961 Oddero Barolo, pristine bottle with interesting neck tag. Gorgeous mature nose, dark cherries, brown sugar, leather, earth, charred wood. Silky palate, ripe sweet red fruits, dense mid palate, resolved tannins, perfect acidity. Excellent. #odderobarolo #oddero — 7 years ago
Ready. Liquirice, ink and ripe plums. A wunderful, austere Barbaresco. — 9 years ago

Another wine from Greg’s friend Andrew. A little chalky. But should open up. Very nice. Beautiful color. — 7 years ago

2017 vintage. FLB fodder. Decanted and tasted after 15 mins, 45 mins and 1.25 hours. Medium body. Fairly muddy color. A parlor trick of rose petals and tar up front with a battle to the death, both mid and end palates, between chalk and dark chocolate. Chalk won. Not what I would call refined but made up for that with plenty of rusticity/old school/authenticity vibes. Apparently, I liked it more than anyone else here but a bonus .2 for the retro-stylings.
