Beautiful: dark, quiet, powerful. Nothing extraneous. Lead with minerals, graphite, tobacco on top of a layer of dry black and red fruit. Tannins were mild. Fit the room (The Grill, NYC) and the meal (Thanksgiving) perfectly. — 6 hours ago

Nose is of cherry with oak, a hint of smoke and fresh dill. Smooth with a dry finish, quite acidic, oak out the wazoo and a intense spicy kick to finish. Beautiful deep ruby colour. I would expect a little more sweetness for a tempranillo. Lovely red from Espana. — 14 days ago

So glad our impressions from the tasting at the Lytton Springs tasting room was borne out over a year later. You probably haven’t had a #chardonnay like this. This vintage has a distinctive green curry leaf (Bergera koenigii) aroma, backed by dried pineapple, toasted almonds. There’s some weight on the palate, stone fruit, pear and hints of vanilla. Beautifully complex and paired wonderfully with heirloom Mexican corn tortilla tacos. #ridgevineyards — a month ago
