Consumed 9/5/17. Generous aromas of ripe bountiful fruit Melds effortlessly with refined spices. Well balanced with tones of creamy chocolate, vanilla and toasted oak spice, this wine has a long smooth finish. Grown in the Napa Valley, long regarded as the epicenter of the new golden era California wine, These grapes benefit from the complexity of the soil types. — 7 years ago

Ate with fried catfish and shrimp etoufee. Great pairing. Really buttery, not sweet. Not super dry and had a good neutral fruit flavor. — 4 years ago

Consumed 11/2017. I have rated this wine before, but the bottle had a different description so I am adding this one as well. When I try to look back at my previous ratings, I can’t figure out how to see what year the vintage was. That could be why the description on the bottle is different.
Robust flavors of ripe berry fruit meld harmoniously with smoky oak and subtle hints of eucalyptus and the earth. An elegant Cassis note complements the long, noble finish. — 7 years ago
