A big champagne from their #Achille cuvée with a strong oaky structure but a good acidity to keep its bite sharp and crisp. #wheninparis — 8 years ago

I reckon it’s all about that clarity, rich texture, and a certain kind of balance. There’s perhaps a bit more of that oak than you might sometimes prefer, & just a touch of alcohol heat to it, but it’s right nice. Still would a let it set a spell had I known, but I’ll hazard I think the ratio is a little harsh in its analysis. — 8 years ago
Not my favorite Devavry, but the quality is unmistakable. I think the more champagne I drink I realize I lean to the Blanc de Blanc or blend camp. But this is very enjoyable with much honey on the nose. Nice tight bubbles and a long, fruitful finish. We had a bit left on day two and it opened up even more with some additional richness not seen on day one. — 5 years ago
