Funkiest vino rosato I have ever tasted! More like a sharp Spanish cidre than any wine, with a muddled orange color and familiar barnyard nose. The nose lulls you for a moment as you think you know what’s coming and then BAM—funk to the tenth power, backed by steely acid and light effervescence. Lower alcohol at just 10.5% but you don’t really notice one way or another; this wine is all about the funk. Not for every palate but a perfect foil for the spicy Thai fish curry and Khao Soi my wife and I enjoyed at Night and Market Sahm in Venice; this little cutie came from the restaurant’s wine list. Had the 2020 vintage. — 2 years ago

Had to crack a ‘21 and put one in the cellar for a few years. Very impressed. But of course KP nails this variety. A but rounder than Riesling with different aromatics but still that good teeth shattering acidity and minerality. Paired with khao soi. — 2 years ago
Absolutely perfect with a dinner of Thai Khao Soi. This is the sort of kabinett that just bowls me over. How can you still buy a wine like this for less than $20? The nose alone - stone, apples, honey, flowers.... — 4 years ago
Dark red almost purple in colour, notes of dark berries with a finish of spice. Great with a Pad Thai or a khao soi. No more than $15. — 5 years ago
