Golden in the glass. Big and structured. Tons of fruit. Almost too much for me. Jasmine, lemon curd, pear on the back palate. Touch sweet. 360 cases made. 13.7%. Clearly this wine was made with care and determination. Let’s see what the future brings. Will put this away for 3-4 years. — 4 months ago
Enjoyed this for years, but hadn’t seen it in a while and realized they changed their label - big time. Still great QPR: Tempranillo but darker fruit profile, licorice, earthy, swarthy, musky w/vanillin notes as well. Great complexity, enticing nose - equally delightful on palate, darker fruit but more like black cherry. Sturdy tannins, not elegant but provincial w/decent balance - just enough acidity to make it food friendly for charcuterie. — 9 months ago
Dark purple/ inky in color with a reddish rim.
Beautiful nose with wild flowers, red cherries, currents, sweet strawberries, dark chocolates, light tobacco, light wood, Indian spices and black pepper
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with sour cherries, plums, cooked strawberries, spices, herbs, light wood, coffee and peppercorn.
Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 8-year-old Petit Verdot from Los Angeles County is still drinking very nicely now. Fruity and elegant. Tangy and interesting.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly, and show the beautiful nose, which I loved.
Not what one might expect from a California Petit Verdot, however it is very interesting to try.
I had this vintage 3 years ago, and it was drinking better then.
A good food wine that I paired with cheeses and dried meats.
100% Petit Verdot grapes were hand-picked and aged for 44 months in French oak barrels. A small production of only 360 bottles.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Medium garnet core , quite narrow terracotta rim . Spiced earthy summer fruits, blackberry , cherry , blackcurrant , some herbal hints , vanilla , tobacco, grafite and iodine. On the palate this is quite fine boned , with refreshing acidity and medium ripe , rounded tannins , balanced alcohol . More herbal and dark fruited on the palate , blackcurrant , blackberry and cherry , spiced vanilla tinged dark cherry . Tobacco and grafite tinged medium length finish . Still drinking well , this is at peak now so drink over the next 2-3 years . — 3 months ago
Deep black fruits aromas, a rich body but some definite tannins, the black fruit flavors come through with notes of licorice and violet. A good wine as the temperatures start to fall. — 4 months ago
