A little more open than my last bottle a year ago. Love the pure granitic stanky minerality on the nose. Some dark, tight, bright berry fruit and a spritz of pink grapefruit rind. So soft and gulpable in the mouth. Flavors veering more to the savory, stony side than fruity. — 6 months ago
Butter, cream, macadamia nuts, pear, caramelized sugar. A bit too much oak monster for me but is quite delicious — 2 years ago

This 2023 is an affordable “ Brother” of the northern Rhône. All about light bodied freshness and nuance, hints at it s big brothers in Crozes Hermitage. Will be a delightful picnic wine as the warmer weather arrives. Under $20 a bottle. — 6 months ago
Interesting red with bright fruit and barn yard funk. Paired well with my pork loin and oriechette with mushroom Bolognese. — 2 years ago
Perfectly aged. Golden color with richly balanced flavors — 5 months ago
My favorite Syrah! Lighter than some of the CA Syrahs but still complex. One that I could (and did) enjoy drinking with and without food. — 8 months ago
First note: black pepper galore. As it opens the pepper dissipates, leading to dried flowers and chalky earth. Under-notes of cherry. Great acidity with moderate tannins. — 3 years ago

Gorgeous wine and so classic in 21. Nose is granitic and dusty with some lovely red currant and licorice. Gamey, meaty and so deep. Really terrific aromas. Smells like Cote Rotie and it is within spitting distance. Palate is very 21. Mostly red fruits with some minor black ones and a classic, grippy almost Cru Bourgeois type structure. Juicy and serious for such a humble price. Pre tariff we were $19.99 a case. Very 21 and very lean. Big tannins and actually needs maybe 3-5 years of age. After 5 hours this is soft and lush and has gone from 9.0 to 9.1. Really came together. — 17 days ago
