Madsen Family Cellars

Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Good all around wine. Hard to gauge after Insignia and a great 1999 Brunello. Cabernet $40 red mountain 2006 — 6 years ago

Madsen Family Cellars

Washington State Cabernet Franc 2008

Wow! I LOVE this Cabernet Franc from Madsen Family Cellars in Lacey, WA! Smoky, dark, dry, and bold are just a few of this wines characteristics. — 9 years ago

Le Vigne Di Sammarco

Primitivo di Manduria

Pleasantly Pronounced fruit carries through the finish, medium bodied and enjoyable drinking wine. Black Cherry, balanced acidity. Fruit might clash with some food. Overall great value at DKK 90 from Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel in Amager/Copenhagen. — 7 years ago

Interesting label. Thought an octave was smaller than that and assumed they stayed in it for much longer.

@Norman Gennaro This is a unique Duncan Taylor bottling so please don't confuse it with the regular Laphroaig.

Distilled in 2005 and aged 10 years in a full cask/hogshead like the regular Laphroaig before being offered in octaves (at Cask strength) to special clients.

If you're a whiskey nerd check out Duncan Taylor. They have access to some really REALLY limited and unique stuff.
