Very good Grenache from Applegate Valley, Oregon. Cherry and lanolin aromas with spicy and floral notes, the nose reminds me of a Russian River Pinot noir. On the palate, it shows cherry, cranberry, and red apple, with mild tannins, a silky texture and med+ finish. Was excellent with Five Spice chicken, and sauteed greens sprinkled with Marash pepper flakes. This is not chunky or syrupy like many Grenaches (in my opinion); on the contrary, this pretty red is lithe and complex and interesting. — 8 years ago
