Delicioso! Love this producer, saw this on list at Nunzio in Hilton Head - paired beautifully w/fusili chinghiale & chicken marsala. W/out decant it smelled beautiful, so floral, so full of violets and cherries, raspberry, very elegant, earthy, mineral, tar, tea, spices, etc — just textbook nose. Smooth silky on palate, with well-integrated tannins. Balanced & harmonious, long finish. — 9 months ago
Mid crimson with a tawny rim. A porty nose - overdeveloped but not over the top. Coffee grounds, earthy, chocolatey. Aged in Barriques rather than traditional large oak casks. A full bodied Barbaresco. One of the 1001 Wines - I bought this at a wine shop in Alba in October 2015. Sanderson suggested a window to 2029 (he tasted 3/15). On this tasting it needs to be drunk. — a month ago

One of the more muscular Barbaresco I’ve tasted. Notes of plum, red cherry, tar, orange peel, espresso, clove, and worn leather. Big frame. Concentrated and opulent on the palate. Firm tannins just start to soften. Still need time, but it will be great.
