Still a lot of legs on this one in terms of aging potential. Fantastic wine. So balanced. So full. — 6 hours ago
Wonderful. Finally opened it up from our trip over & visit to the vineyard. — 13 days ago
Very dark ruby coloration. On the nose, spice, oak, vanilla, anise and dark berry. On the palate, dark berry, vanilla, minerality in the finish. Very nice wine with balanced tannins. — a month ago
A bit earthy with mushroom and dried cherries on the palate. The fruit comes through. Very nice with a sausage and mushroom pizza. January 2025. — 9 days ago
Really beautiful Brielle that shows so much complexity and character, very perfumy nose that developed and opened up over time and a great balance of fruit, floral/cedar notes and tannin on the palate. Tannins were very delicate but present and structured, really beautiful wine — 5 days ago
Such a great Brunello producer. Every wine in the line up is excellent. Even the entry level Troncone, which is one of the great steals in Brunello. This bottle is in its prime. Smooth, complex, red fruit, black fruit, med tannins, long finish. So good! — 9 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2017 San Valentino pours a slightly hazy, ruby color with medium+ viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, red fruit: sour Montmorency cherry, wood varnish, horse blanket, black licorice, old wood, and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy. One of the more wild vintages of San Valentino I’ve ever had and this bottle wasn’t quite as good as the one I had a couple years back. Drink now and enjoy what nature gave to Paolo and Giampiero. — 16 days ago

2021 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Chunky with moments of clarity and moments of chaos. When it rolls in at the resto price waay under $30, compelled to pick up 4 cases. A fave Italian producer and this does nothing to dispel those feelings. 01.15.25. — 6 days ago
