Delicately carbonated. Earthy notes abound on the nose and palate. — 9 years ago
Great pale ale. Very bitter. — 12 years ago
I love Mosel Riesling with the right food. It is always paired with our Spicy Asian Lettuce Wraps. 👌 pairing.
Visited this producer and P.A Prüm in 2015. Both rock solid producers.
The nose reveals; peach, apricot, white peach, dried pineapple, understated white citrus blend, marmalade, orange, tangerine, tropical melon, light petroleum notes, hints of fruit brandy, honey/honeycomb, notes of sweet white spice, caramel, nuts with skin, beautiful, yet subtle minerals, slate, spring flowers, yellow floral & fruit blossoms.
The palate is; thick, rich, lush & nice viscosity. It’s a good first peak at the 2009. Love the GG’s and don’t drink them nearly enough. It’s a gorgeous mouthfeel and similar wire to wire. Ripe, juicy; peach, apricot, white peach, dried pineapple, understated white citrus blend, marmalade, orange, tangerine, & tropical melon. Mild petroleum notes, hints of fruit brandy, honey/honeycomb, notes of sweet white spice, caramel, nuts with skin, beautiful, yet subtle powdery minerals, slate, spring flowers, yellow floral & fruit blossoms. Huge round, perfect acidity. The long; round, voluptuous, elegant, lush finish is really coming into its own & sustains for minutes in perfect balance & harmony.
Photos of; S.A. Prüm, Saskia Prüm, lead Winemaker, one of their Mosel vineyards (how would you like to harvest at that pitch on slippery blue slate when it rains...rain happens quite a bit during harvest) and their barrel room. — 4 years ago
Does beer count here? America's greatest brewery? — 12 years ago
It is a 10🙌🏼 I may find a beer this good again in my life but it's incredible and happens to be local. it's been my favorite for awhile, some better some worse that's alcohol for you. Part of it is A) amazing beer B) distributed nearby so fresh off the line. It's 100% Mosaic, which gives off subtle pine on the nose and palette and hefty notes of tangerine and pineapple on the nose. The aroma is strong, the flavor is smooth with a tingle. They don't add as much additional hops at the end (which is what gives the extra big bitterness in IPAs like SN Torpedo, some Stone, etc.). It's clean and fun. It's a bummer that after you try something dozens of times it's not as amazing in the moment as you remember.. but if you get the right batch.. It's game-changing. Note the GABF gold for a brewing company 2 years old at the time. Must visit brewery on the central coast. — 7 years ago
First time sipping a wine from Switzerland *and* it was brought to me by Jacques Villeneuve. What's not to love? Fresh and lively with juicy pomegranate and light woodsmoke. Happy. — 9 years ago
