Never pretentious or overwhelming
In this case we may lack a bit of fruit, but we have a wet stone salty tingling mineral that is unheard of for a passerina and that is very rare altogether

2020 vintage.
Passerina is an ancient grape grown in Marche in clay and calcareous soil. Fermented in stainless steel with ageing “sur lies” for 4 months.
Fragrant and floral with citrus and honeysuckle on the nose. Dry with medium acidity. Pear, almond and citrus with a savoury, stoney minerality on the finish.

Beautiful wine from Marche. Light skin contact gives a beautiful structure that somehow mimics barrel usage without having the “corrupted” flavor profile.
I somehow had a touch of iodine in the nose, sea shell, sea breeze. I had it decanted and a slight oxidation amplified the mouthfeel. Delicious wine indeed, perfect for gastronomy. — 24 days ago
