Reddish in color with light intensity.
Fruity nose of cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak and chocolate notes.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with red bing cherries, currants, raspberries, sweet strawberries, spices, red candy, light wood, chocolates, sweet tobacco, light herbs and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Pinot Noir from Santa Rita Hills in California. Easy drinking and engaging. Elegant and fruit forward.
Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel, and feels like a California Pinot with a touch of Burgundy.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Pinot Noir grapes were aged for 9 months in French oak barrels. A small production of only 8 barrels.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Peake Ranch delivers….this Grenache was gorgeous. Earthy, awesome nose and a well rounded finish — a year ago
2029 Sta Rita Hills Pinot. Like a ballerina, graceful delicate balanced and muscular. Subtle spice quality with red and dark fruits. About &45. A bottle. Good introduction to this AVA. — 2 years ago
Fruit comes from the Sierra Madre and Peake Ranch vineyards. Medium lemon color with aromas of white flesh fruits and spicy notes. On the palate, flavors of apple and pineapple with slight citrus notes spice and lively acidity. Medium finish ending with fruit and spice. — 4 months ago
Pours burgundy with a hint of brown, smoky salami and sundried tomato on the nose, very savory palate. Unusual, but pretty tasty. — 5 months ago

Manages to be bright with moderate acidity and still have a waxy last taste to it. Bright straw and slightly under ripe gooseberries, slightly under ripe raisins, persimmons. It has the tart and the acid hit a good golden flavor that has enough sugar developed to not be just bitter. Smooth and flowing, not very viscous, considering the waxy flavors to it, but overall a definite winner, especially in combination with avocado, garlic, pita bread, and all sorts of grilled meats, al pastor style. — a day ago
