Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2021

Love the nose. Deep, sweet/sour cherry, loads of sweet, pungent minerality, meadow flowers. In the mouth it’s still very youthfully vigorous, with a deep initial whack of zingy, pure, concentrated cherry, but then it tightens up as the crisp acids and the sneaky tannins make an entrance. This will improve over the next few years but is really fine now. — 10 days ago

Nice but was hoping for a bit more refinement and balance. 15% which comes through only a bit. Still some rusticity. But the overall quality of the fruit is high. Would give it a couple more years at least. — 2 months ago
