Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several days and consistent throughout. The 2022 Sauvignon pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing and bursting with electricity! Powerful notes of stone fruits, grapefruit, fresh sliced jalapeño, verbena, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acidity. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+, substantial and refreshing. Lovely with northern Italian soft rind cheese. Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right. — 8 months ago

Popped and poured and enjoyed over lunch so no formal notes. I thought this was a wonderfully delicious Friulano with lovely floral notes and orange candies. Acid was great and it worked so well with marinated octopus salad with anchovies. — 5 months ago

Popped and poured. The 2020 Chardonnay “Ronco Basso” is quite compelling. I found that the fruit presented more round on the nose than it is on the palate, which showed a bright mix of tropical and citrus fruits with really lovely acid and fantastic minerality. The finish was long and full of energy. One of the more exciting Chardonnays I’ve had in a while. Drink now but will drink well for at least 10 years. — a year ago

Bellissimo! Love aged Friuli whites - gorgeous light golden color, fresh cut flowers, jasmine, lemon balm, citrus but sweet not tart, silky smooth mid palate, more exotic fruit as it warms, steely minerality- not fat but kinda full-figured, just a beautiful cut, all the acidic angularity softened w/age thru lingering finish. — 4 months ago
