Le Tempranillo comme je les aime. Goût de chêne, épicé rt le je ne sais quoi que j'adore! Va très bien avec un spaghetti entre autre. — 9 years ago
Very Burgundian in style. Floral nose with more cream than minerals. Balanced body with good acids that's a bit fattier than Bigotes. Could pair better with creamier food like the sweet squash raviolis we had. CVed. 9/2/16. Second tasting CV: 9/28/16. Nose bit more acids and hints of oxidation? Tasting very well. Better balance. Notes of oxidation due to CV as it sat at RT? Now shows just a bit more new world richness than Bigotes and Rully Montpalais. Same score. nice wine. Opened 10/19/16. Same nice wine that actually went well with mixed dinner of salmon with dark sauce, amah meat sauce cut with fresh tomatoes. Almost upped the score to 9. Dijon clone 76. 13.8 % ABV 33% new French oak and only 142 cases. — 10 years ago
Pear and quince compote, could have done with a bit more acidity and better length.but a pleasant tokaji nonetheless. — 10 years ago
Cab Sauvignon & Zweigelt, aged 24m in used barrique.
Amazingly fresh, vibrant, youthful.
Dark plums, dark berries, flowers, cloves & allspice. An earthy, musky undercurrent. On the palate this is juicy, fresh, with great energy & flow. Black berries, finely grained & quite firm tannins. So juicy, so young.
Drinking beautifully right now, would have never said this is 12y old. Delicious stuff! — 4 years ago
Loved it, one of the better Bordeaux I’ve tasted. I believe rt bank. — 6 years ago

This is the Rt Saison. Slightly sour and really nice. — 9 years ago
GL Burgundy tasting 3/7/17. $184. Nose really striking and balanced and complex. Reason he went to CDP. Wanted warm weather dream wine that's pure. All Grenache. North exposure. Sandy soil. Stones. Freshness. 2 weeks in tank in cold. Then RT for two weeks and then 36 months in baroque with no racking! Wow of a wine. — 9 years ago
Good balanced new world cab. Fruit still prominent but balanced by acid and soft tannins. Tired of it, sulfites? But got better after several days half full in Cali bottle at RT. — 10 years ago
Now that I am officially finished working as a RT; and have had both vaccines; my family is allowing me back in...to visit. This wine was my Christmas Gift from my brother. When I told him that I would probably wait 5 yrs. to consume; his face fell. I could tell that he was excited that I try the wine! 🤗 Of course! Although this wine is young! Mondavi! Such balance...swirling for 90 seconds. Tight but the elements for a very nice wine are standing up proudly!
I need to find another 2016..and open in 5 years! My score is low..considering potential! — 5 years ago
What really stood stood out for me here was the wonderful balance between red fruit and earthy/tabacco notes. This is in a great spot. Highly recommend and great value. Thanks RT! — 8 years ago
Very bricked, with equal combination of brown and orange tinges. Very dusty fruits with leather and spice. The palate was super soft and tasted of red cherries and strawberries. Notable linger on the end. Super solid. Thanks RT 🙏 — 8 years ago
Recommend you let this one chill to 58 or 60 then let breathe. It's a completely different wine at 60 deg then rt. Menthol bite with a splash of blackberry chocolate. 😊 — 10 years ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
This - drink now wine was really not made for aging - !!!! was lost in my cellar. I have no system whatsoever and like surprises. Lots of acidity. Faint kerosine notes like in an aged Riesling. Lemon curd. Meyer lemon. Crushed partially oxidized apple pulp. After 1 hour and reaching RT profound apricot flavors and a touch bitter. A great wine for an at the time a ridiculous low price. I think this is not made any more. — 2 years ago
