Paired with a beef and parsnip dish at Silo in Hackney Wick - couldn't have been better — 5 years ago
State of Brewing, Wisconsin. Aldi advent beer calendar.
Near opacity, golden gel color, shock silo of crystalline white dissipates to perfection evenly with a flattened Fuji moment. Marble vein persistence in its barnacled whale lacing. Black lime nose reveals balsa and lemon bread, yeast-lemon and lightest green olive and chamomile. Palate gives sour note that ‘apricots’, bursts with yeast and marigold, banana pepper, white peppercorn and grapefruit spirit. All while hitting the bullseye on Belgian White Ale style. Resonates with drying sourdough, and popped corn sans butter, Indian gum, and cotton seed notes.

Amazing that this is 9.5% because it's so easy to drink a 750mL bottle. It really is wine quality. I have a hard time identifying the nose on beers but it reminds me of being inside the cow feed silo as a kid. It smells like late summer harvest left to ferment.
It's a very clean taste of...... Wheat grass? — a year ago

Hope got a glass of this at Silo City. She really likes it. — 6 years ago
Superbly balanced Salice Salento, bought at a bargain in the UK. Ok it's London, so a relative £10 "bargain" *Sigh* . Aromas of oaky vanilla, black cherry, some funky herbal +clove + tobacco. Tastes a balanced black plum and cherry, am I dreaming a bit of toastyness? Chocolates. All things fun and nice. Decant 45m to 1hr. drinking in Oct 2018 — 6 years ago
