Wonderfully steely and austere. A tad young but this wine’s reserved nature just made its mineral and finish more interesting to me. Apple and some green fruit. Paired with an eight course French seafood meal this wine was the perfect one to be at the wheel. Fantastic! — 7 months ago
This is 93-94 this young. I was a little surprised they slotted this last in the tasting. I would have led with it. However, it didn’t end up being our last wine. Leslie was kind enough to open another.
Both plums, blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, mix of dark berry cola, nice, soft baking spices-nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, vanillin, grainy limestone, wet clay, dark, rich, forest floor, some dry herbs, excellent fresh & withering florals that are a combination of; dark, red, some blue and violets, nice round acidity, a smooth, elegant finish that softly structured, balanced and wire to wire smooth and elegant with a full minute finish.

Austere yet so elegant. And still so very young. Needs time!
Enticing nose with violets, orange zest, dark cherry, wet slate, smoke, roast, raw beef, cloves & allspice. Evolves as it opens up.
Pure & vibrant on the palate. With fresh, juicy acidity, cool freshness & mineral depth. The tannins are amazing - so polished, finely grained, juicy. Poised, elegant, and yet uncompromising. A beauty & will get even better with some age! Wow! — 6 months ago
I usually bring at least one older wine to a favorite BYOB restaurant for NYE dinner. I selected this 33 year old cab and trying to open it the cork crumbled and some came out and some stayed it so decanted through a tea strainer into my take out bottle. I could tell just by the color this wine had promise. Poured about 2 hours later and the color was deep dark red to the edge. Not much on the nose but the taste had a lot of black fruits and a bit of spice and seemed like a young wine. The finish was long and smooth. It was still drink great as we finished the bottle about 2 hours later. Luckily I have another bottle and have to figure out when I’m going to open that one. At Anthony’s in HH — a year ago
Big & self-assured, and yet elegant. Still very young. Very CS dominated nose, black fruit, some cassis, a touch of nice wood & dark chocolate rounded & very elegant.
Proper St Estephe on palate - good tannic frame, juicy acidity, pure black fruit. Great depth here. And aging potential. Needs a bit of time, but it’s already shining. — 3 months ago
Pleasant at first pour but underpowered. Needed 45 minutes and decant to start. Improved over time. Darker red than I was expecting. Young wine and quite smooth. Some racy notes at the perimeter but more of an easy drinking succulent Nebbiolo than a brooding one. — 4 months ago
Some specials on today at the Chelsea lounge at JFK. Thought I’d ask and look what we got. It doesn’t have as much of the typical Dom taste for me and it is still very very young, definitely still a baby. Great nose and packs a lot of citrusy flavors - they will certainly mellow over the years. Not a bad rendition, not quite hitting the super high marks with me right now, but very pleasant early p.m. bubbly on this holiday — 9 months ago
A definite treat! A bronze garnet in color with some bricking, but young looking. Nose - cherry and currant fruits with notes of truffle, green veggies and cigar. Taste - ripened cherry and plum, tobacco and earth spices followed by notes of smoky cedar and cinnamon adding to its silky smooth long finish. — 2 years ago

From Coravin at my nephews restaurant at Sundays Italian lunch. A nice moment to check in for my bottles that I have in my cellar. Obviously way to young but drinking well nevertheless. Solid wine, potential 94-95 with some age but not the best vintage IMHO. — a day ago
