Just a brilliant brilliant wine. I cannot believe the value here. Nose is just sick. Deep berry, raspberry, cherry, sour cherry, blueberry, woodshop shavings, violets and other florals and so much more. This has so much stuffing it’s crazy. Extraordinary palate that is at once dense and at once nimble. Unreal sweet fruit and unreal, albeit youthful fruit and astonishing length. Crazy intense and brilliant inner mouth aromas and such complexity. Structure to burn and let’s see where we are in a few hours. Wow. — 19 days ago
2022. Pretty German Pinot. Bit reductive. But opened nicely and sweet red fruit with a good balance. — 2 months ago
Same vintage as the Buntsandstein. But totally different. This is more aligned with a middle of the road Burgh vis-a-vis the Enderle & Moll which is a class by itself. Cork wet and all the way through and soft. Wax capsule. Cherry nose. Over all really not that interesting. — 3 months ago
An amazing vintage here. Nose is a bit funky out of the gates but wow once it gets going it’s all red cherries, sour cherries, and wild herbs. So so good. Really lifted. Palate is mega closed but my goodness rhys is super precise and focused. Like a laser. Unreal freshness and acidity and barely ripe sour cherry and early season cherry fruit. Insane velvety and sour/sweet tannins. Wine as sweet tart. This needs air. It’s got the bones but I will check back in an hour or two. Oh this is getting better but it’s gonna be slow. Angular and dense but so balanced. That Rhini structure abounds. — 4 months ago
Yes it is a Rosé but i stand by my points/rating. Brought from Münchweier in my suitcase to the US. It was a gift. Very hard to find - the winery in Baden/Germany - really - forget - your maps! Right next to the woods of the black forest. Dark for a Rosé and age worthy. Excellent always but especially this vintage. Rhubarb, Strawberries, Quince, Peach (underripe), pomegranate, bitter orange. Tannins from the skins. Who knows were Florian found these old vine Pinot Grapes. Together with Mark Enfields Rosé the best in the world right now and I assume long sold out! — a month ago
Have not had in 3.5 years and wow this is drinking so well. A superstar. Nose is all wet earth, decay, sweet spices and macerated cherries. Palate is a wonder of juicy cherry fruit, freshness and layered complexity. Dead leaves, buoyant acidity and a long, lingering finish. Needs some time to open but man is this great out of the bottle. As this airs the palate complexity is so compelling. The tannins are so oh so fine. This after many hours was so elegant and fine. Meaty and pure. This is drinking perfectly now after an hour open. — 4 months ago

Nose is a spice bomb. Dried, desiccated leaves. Some mid season cherry, wet earth and everything about the nose says aged but with some youthful vigor. Palate is lush and rich, really good, with great concentration and freshness. Nimble and with wonderful acidity and such purity. Velvety sweet tannins and so focused. This is drinking so well. Terrific sweetness and love the classical structure. Long finish and still got some fuel to burn. Even better in 5-8 years. With air this gets so juicy and the energy really shines through. Wow the elegance shines through after 2 hours. 9.5 now. — 19 days ago
