A cabernet from down-under. Why not?
The nose shows intense notes of cherry, black currant, graphite, some oak and some mentholy note too. The palate shows a great acid drive, a wonderful cassis note shining through and through, some width, some weight on the sides, a lively, grippy mouthfeel that evolves into a very strong tannic wall in the rear. The mid palate is massive and powerful and leaves a fine grain all over a finish that lasts for a very long time with that shiny black currant note, a reminiscence of that menthol thing and a gentle bitter note in the very end too. It's very young and should benefit from a couple of additional years in bottle. Good stuff! — 11 days ago

Really tasty wine, had with Spanish tapas. Smell is cherry and a weird bread/biscuit note that smells like a bakery. Full bodied, very fruity. Went well with all the assorted foods. Would love to have again. — 2 months ago

Dark red purple. Classic Cabernet nose and palate of cassis and underripe blackberry with oak and very gentle bell pepper undertones. Medium tannins and medium plus-ish acidity. Old school style Napa Cabernet with an excellent balance between fruit and structure. Excellent match for that porterhouse. Drink now through 2032. — 2 days ago

Helping a chef with a Smith Madrone tasting. This is a very nice Riesling that exhibits apples, peach and some bartlett pear. Just a bit of acidity and you will get a fair hint of oil on the nose, not in a bad way. We gave it a good 1 hr decant and didn't serve it too chilled. Light acidity and a full mouthfeel. 7 year bottle aged and drinking nicely. — 14 days ago
