1976 vintage. At The Ledbury - paired with cheese course. Dark brown hue. Wonderful nose of wood polish, walnuts, prunes, dark chocolate, vanilla essence, amontillado scents, raisin, sultana, cow hide, roasted coffee and rancio. On the palette, searing acidity that is very integrated, full concentration, medium plus body and long lingering finish. Extremely enjoyable. How great is Madeira? Shame so few drink this nectar. — 9 years ago
2002 vintage Rose. At The Ledbury - paired with scallops. On opening slightly reductive, earthy and manure. Red currant. On the palette, very young - coffee bean and red currant. Very fine bubbles. Medium plus acidity, medium minus body and medium concentration. Medium plus finish. Extremely elegant. Would recommend holding for another 5+ years before opening. Classy. — 9 years ago
Boom! Aprikos jajamän fy satan i jävla fucking gatan. Bästa avslutet på Ledbury och bästa kompis med doughnuten. Att jag gissade fel på ett år gör inte saken värre. Så jävla fin! — 8 years ago
1983 vintage. At The Ledbury - paired with lamb course. Fantastic nose - mature and developed. Cedar, leather, dried rose and violet petals, ripe plums and blackcurrants, sous-Bois - complex. On the palette, medium body, medium plus acidity and concentration, medium tannins - fully integrated and gorgeously textured. Very long finish. Complex and elegant. A great example of an '83. — 9 years ago

15year. At The Ledbury - paired with dessert. Aromas of Molasses, vanilla essence, vanilla cream, sweet spices, old oakwood. On the palette, medium plus body, quite warming, good length. Flavours of Demerara sugar, caramel and burned sugar, caramelised pineapple and vanilla sauce. Very good and excellent pairing with chocolate dessert. — 9 years ago
1999 vintage. At The Ledbury - paired with fish course. Wow. This wine is a knock out. My last bottle in the case unfortunately. But it's actually even better than the last one that was amazing. Nutty, almond, still developing - fresh mushroom and honey. Very complex. On the palate, oozes class and complexity - perfect acidity, medium body, medium plus concentration and long finish. Flavours mirror the aromas on the nose. A superb wine that remarkably still has years ahead of it. — 9 years ago
