2015 with Cosi Cucina pasta take out. Very good wine. — 4 months ago
Had La Macchiona as part of a wine pairing at Septime, so I had to grab a bottle from this producer when I saw it. Not sure what I expected but it was much richer, fuller, and sweeter than I thought. The sweetness slowly wore off giving way to ripe cherries and rhubarb as it opened. Stood up well to the Mediterranean food of all things we had with it and actually quite a nice compliment to it in many ways. Lacked some depth but primary characteristics were strong and carried this wine beyond my expectations. — 7 months ago

Deep, Rich, and elegant. The wine actually feels more viscous than normal, and it’s just heavily perfumed and flavored and thick in your mouth. It absolutely feels like chewing on a handful of fresh blue and red fruit mixed together. Perfume of violet and Queen Anne roses, as it faded over time it actually became a much more elegant and approachable wine. Absolutely delicious. — 9 days ago
