Far better than prior bottles of 2000 a year or so ago, I'm now convinced those earlier bottles were flawed in some fashion. — a year ago
Dark red color with a copper tinge. Aromas of dark red fruit. Medium body. Entry has a hint of sweetness. Dry with dark cherry, tobacco, little coffee notes. Very bright acidity for such an old wine brings it to a perfect balance. Tannins are there, but well balanced. Excellent wine.

Dark ruby/black color. Aromas of dried cherries, toasted spices, dried violets, oak and wet soil. Ripe black cherry/currant/plum fruit on the palate with notes of sweet and savory herbs and spices, red licorice, dark chocolate and roasted meat. Nice long, lingering and smoky finish. Bold, rich and textually complex. Slightly chewy tannins but extremely well balanced. Thanks for opening this winner, Keith S! — 11 days ago
