First post in a very long time after a series of personal and professional setbacks that could have ended badly. Had this beautiful GSM last night - first wine drinking in a while. It was lively with fruit, medium acidity and a long, fine finish. Hi everyone! — a month ago

Lots of dark fruit, jammy. Hints of vanilla and mocha. Good solid Cabernet. — 2 months ago
This is a solid cab, although a little subdued given the high praise from Parker. $120, RP 97 points.

Candied cherry, tobacco, oak, cedar, tar, plum, clove, and black pepper. A big, dark, sultry merlot. Full body, medium plus tannins, high acid, high alcohol, and medium plus finish. — 22 days ago
This wine has almost no coloring. Its nose is more herb-driven than mineral-driven, but there is a touch of wet sidewalk in the aromas. The palate is dry and rather flat, with only a hint of acidity. As with the smells, the flavors lean into the herbal side of the spectrum with enough minerals to make it a decent pair with shellfish. It is a pleasant enough wine, and for $7 I will not complain beyond this paragraph. I will, however, keep it in mind for when I need a dry white wine for cooking. — 5 months ago
