It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Inky in color with a short purple rim.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and elegant, with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, vanilla, spices, chocolates, light tobacco, peppercorn, light earth, graphite and herbs.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This Cabernet Franc from Yakima Valley is already drinking very nicely. Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel.

This 6 year old is good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

A good sipping wine, and will pair nicely with BBQ Meats too.

2017 Vintage. 15.7 % Alcohol. Made by Giovanni Grandinetti, assistant winemaker at Herman Story Wines and has a similar experience as a huge wine loaded with fruit and plush mouthfeel. Great job Gio! — 3 years ago
