Laya Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2013

Smoothest French Syrah we’ve tried. Very balanced and jammy, flavors of dried cherries and raspberries. So so good — 3 years ago

Labaya Crozes-Hermitage Red Rhone Blend 2020

@Delectable Wine - this is 100% Syrah, not a blend.

Lively nose has loads of gravelly crushed granite, cured beef, peppercorns, and focused dark berry fruit. Lively in the mouth as well, medium bodied, with savory, clingy flavors, subtle soft tannin, and nicely-integrated acids. Beautiful balance. More fruit coming out on the palate as it airs. Great weeknight red.

Côte-Rôtie Lieu-dit Bonnivières 2019

Solid, declious, not an intellectual wine. Wanted to try a bottle now in anticipation of what it will taste like in 10. — 2 months ago

Les Cotes Lieu-Dit Syrah 2016

Grilled meats, deep blackberry pie, blackrasberry, smoked pepper, and charcoal. Smooth, and brooding. Blueberry preserves. Sappy, but not sweet. Secondary dark chocolate layered on jerky, meaty notes. Masculine. Really enjoyable wine, very classic Syrah from Cornas. Purchased at the winery. Drink or hold. — 2 years ago
