2009 vintage. Medium garnet hue. Vanilla, black cherry, sweet spice nose, caramel and dried cranberry. On the palate, medium plus alcohol, medium acidity, medium minus body and medium plus concentration. Medium plus finish. Still quite youthful. Could improve further in bottle. Certainly decent. I prefer a more savoury Pinot generally, than a richer sweeter fruit style such as this. — 9 years ago

2009 vintage. Zivo Pinot Noir Williamette Valley. Medium garnet - some browning around the rim. Cherry liqueur, marzipan, sweet spice, smoke and slight earthiness on the nose. On the palate, medium body and acidity, medium minus tannins - slightly chewy. Lots of concentration - menthol and mint, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and leather notes. Silky textured wine. Finish is surprisingly long and delicious. Not bad at all! — 9 years ago

Magnum. Seems much younger than the 750ml bottle from several months back. Fantastic. Boysenberry, pencil lead, dried leaves, moist soil and tobacco. Good balance of alcohol, tannin and sweetness. Medium body. Medium finish. Excellent — 5 years ago
