Pretty pleased with this wines ability to pop and pour. I was expecting a sharper and less integrated wine. It ended up being quite round, full of fruit and an easy drinker. At $30 this would be a go-to; at it’s current price it’s good just not good enough to warrant the money. I’d still have another but I’ll be shopping around for the discounts. — 6 years ago

Outstanding wine after it opened up. Unfortunately we didn’t decant with the last minute decision prior to food. Really nice on the mid-palate and not overly jam filled as compared to the Venge next door. Overall a beautiful wine. I wouldn’t do it again for the price point though. — 6 years ago

When you ask for a big cab, this is the expectation and it delivered. It was almost too powerful? The wine was appreciated but pushed me back to wanting more Kali instead, to have with the meal. — 6 years ago

Big, built and viscous. Almost as if the fruit needs a bit more help with the tannins to balance it out. Decanted for an hour to take the edge off the ‘15 but ended up with a largely over-oaked finish. After the fruit-forward approach. Very good and solid wine... just me picking the pepper out of the fly sh*t. Sill a solid buy. — 6 years ago

Both the nose and palate go to dark, ripe fruit. It is immediately followed by a complete mouthful of structure and enough tannins to knock down any comparisons to a port other than the immediate introduction to the senses. The wine was round in texture and supple to the end. It was an outstanding paring with our lamb dish. — 6 years ago

We let it breathe for 30min but should have left it open for an hour or two. Still one of my favorites for the discounted price at Venge. Hard to beat in my opinion pound-for-pound. — 6 years ago
