The 2019 Barbaresco is an attractive entry level offering. Floral and nicely lifted, with lovely inner sweetness, the 2019 is quite attractive today. I would give the tannins a year or two to soften. Otherwise, the 2019 is very nicely done. When it comes to a Barbaresco that is ready to go right now, this is pretty hard to beat. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2022)

The 2019 Barbaresco Mondino is soft, open-knit and very easy to like, with lovely up-front fruit and bright acids to play off its mid-weight structure. This accessible, inviting Barbaresco is all charm. Vibrant acids reappear on the finish, adding lift to the finish and closing with a kick of energy. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2022)

La Ca' Nova's 2019 Barbaresco is stellar. Deep, layered and expansive on the palate, the 2019 is so impressive. Sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange mint and spice give this charming, effusive Barbaresco tons of complexity. The 2019 is a serious, serious wine with a lot going on. Don't overlook it. The 2018 Barbaresco Ronchi has a bit more textural depth than the straight Barbaresco, as it often does. Here, too, I would prefer to drink this sooner rather than later, as early signs of maturity are starting to come through. Sweet red plum, orange zest, cloves, new leather and anise build nicely over time. There's terrific weight and overall substance here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2022)

The 2018 Barbaresco Gallina is the most open-knit and forward of the three 2018 Barbarescos I tasted. Ripeness feels a bit pushed here, but it works nicely within the style of the wine. Super-ripe red cherry, sweet pipe tobacco, orange peel and exotic spice overtones build effortlessly as the Gallina shows off its racy, flamboyant personality. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2022)

The 2019 Barbaresco is classy and elegant to the core. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, cinnamon, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco all grace this ethereal, understated Barbaresco. There's a bit of edginess in the tannin that needs time to resolve. Otherwise, this is very nicely done. The 2019 is a bit less expressive today than it was last year. The 2018 Barbaresco San Stunet is a deep, mysterious wine. Dark red cherry, spice, leather, tobacco, incense and dried herbs build as this potent, virile Barbaresco gradually opens in the glass. There's a lot going on in the San Stunet. As is often the case, this Treiso Barbaresco has quite a bit to offer. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2022)
