Pleasantly dark, brooding and earthy in the glass, the 2017 Rosso Monte di Grazia wafts up with peppery florals, pine shavings and musky black currants. It washes across the palate with silky textures, as tart wild berry fruits and inner violet tones give way to a coating of fine-grained tannins. There’s a core of brilliant acidity here that maintains fantastic balance, as the 2017 finishes lightly structured, incredibly long and full of youthful tension. The Rosso Monte di Grazia is a blend of 90% Tintore di Tramonti and 10% Piedirosso from Pergola-trained vines between the ages of 25 to over 100 years old. With each tilt of the 2021 Flora Falanghina, the senses light up. A seductive blend of fresh mint, peach preserves, sweet smoke and vanilla custard wafts up from the glass. It’s elegant yet potent, washing across the palate with textures like weighted silk guided by vibrant acidity as a contrasting core of crisp tart apple emerges. Its minerality comes through the finish, tapering off salty and mouthwatering, as a bitter twang of savory spice punctuates the experience. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago
The 2021 Greco di Tufo Terre d'Uva opens with a bouquet of tropical green melon, exotic florals and a spritz of lime. This is texturally deep, almost oily in feel, balanced by saline-minerals and crisp green apple. The Terre d'Uva finishes with a bitter tension, pinching at the cheeks with sour citrus while leaving the mouth watering for more. This zesty Greco will win a lot of hearts. Captivating is the word, as the 2010 Taurasi explodes from the glass with an earthy blend of black raspberry and savory spices complicated by nuances of sweet tobacco and ash. This is deeply textural, with waves of dark ripe fruit offset by stimulating acidity, sour citrus and a salty flourish toward the close. This finishes smoky, structured and long, with lingering kalamata olive and savory herbs notes, all framed by hulking tannins. The future is bright, and its balance is perfect, yet today, the 2010 is almost painful to taste. My best advice is to bury it in the cellar. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago
The 2020 Satyricon bursts from the glass with a spicy mix of dried roses, black currants, camphor and ground ginger. It’s racy and sleek in style, with gobs of saline mineral tones up front that give way to tart blackberry, all contrasted by a twang of sour citrus. Dark inner florals resonate throughout as the 2020 finishes with a staining of salted licorice and edgy tannins, coming across as youthfully structured and energetic. The Satyricon will be best paired with a meal today, yet will ultimately benefit from two to three years of cellaring. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago
Honeyed florals, peaches and mint form a sweetly alluring bouquet as the 2021 Greco di Tufo Loggia della Serra blossoms in the glass. It’s soft-textured yet sleek, with vibrant acidity and tropical citrus elevating the ripe orchard fruits. Mango and chamomile stick around on the dramatically long and complex finish. The 2021 is undoubtedly ripe in style, but its balance can not be denied. Wow. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago
The 2021 Greco di Tufo Le Arcaie is understated and delicately floral, with baked apple and ginger aromas forming in the glass. It easily flows across the palate, showcasing crisp green apple fruit and mineral tones that collect toward the close. A tart concentration lingers as the 2021 tapers off to freshness. While a bit restrained, I find Le Arcaie incredibly pretty and easy to like. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago
A rich and darkly inviting blend of plum sauce, clove, cocoa and camphor makes the 2016 Taurasi Riserva Radici impossible to ignore. This is pure class, pliant and enveloping on the palate, with silken waves of ripe red and black fruit guided by brisk acidity. Citrus and inner herbal tones add tremendous depth. The 2016’s regal tannins come forward through the close, framing the experience with youthful poise without slowing its momentum, leaving chalky mineral tones and nuances of nectarine to linger. The balance here is something to behold. Bury this beauty deep in the cellar. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago

Sweet smoke, mint and freshly sliced yellow apple make for a pretty bouquet as the 2021 Falanghina slowly blossoms in the glass. Its silky textures soothe the palate, as ripe orchard fruits and spice cascade throughout. This finishes with a grippy tension. Saline minerals and citrus rind pucker the cheeks. There’s a lot of character and layers packed into the crisp Falanghina. Perhaps some cellaring will reveal further depths. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023) — a year ago
