Il Favot Langhe Nebbiolo 2015

Vintage 2015 | This wine impressed me. Roses 🌹 in the smell. But most of all: 🎯 elegance! Lots of character but with high acidity. — 4 years ago

Beach & bubbles 👍

The Old Bushmills Distillery Co.

Black Bush Irish Whiskey

Vanilla and butterscotch sweets on the nose.

Palate has sweet notes of caramel, toffee and spice.

Has a nice balance of flavours and aromas whilst remaining medium bodied and smooth.

A nice Irish blended whiskey. The blend is 80% malt which makes it desirable.

Emidio Pepe

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2010

Belated post of a very special vacation Wine; this was my first time getting to really sit down and enjoy an Emidio Pepe and give it my full concentration. The 2010 is actually in a great spot right now very tertiary: dried red fruit and earth and lots of smoky meat like flavors! It was a splurge and I’m glad I did it 😊 — 4 years ago

Enderle & Moll

Baden Spätburgunder Rosé 2018

Words escape me...Notes later, best E&M Rosé to date!

Nose has ripe cranberry, mashed raspberry, blood orange flesh, mashed strawberry, recently cut grass, oak bark and a pint of cherries.

Palate has tart cherry, strawberry, over-ripe raspberry, fresh Clementine peel, (minor) baking spice, cold plum with a long finish. Weighty yet finessed

I can't believe I'm stating this, but I think this wine exceeds the 2017 version, which I thought was bonkers, this is better!

@David T Blind, this is a light bodied Gevrey-Chambertin, and it's the ROSÉ!

@Severn Goodwin Great notes. Reminds me of how good this was. One of the most memorable wines of the year for me thus far. Going to be hard to wait on the few bottles I have left. Darn, maybe I need to get more!

@Josh Morgenthau Thanks, each time I open the new vintage, my immediate thoughts are, we didn't buy enough. 🤷‍♂️

Matthiasson

Village Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Great balance on this entry level from Matthiason. Features the green notes of Cabernet with restrained fruit concentration, ample acidity, and oak spice. Would be great with sirloin or roast beef. — 4 years ago

Eisele Vineyards

Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Poor it in you’re glass and put it away for 30 minutes or so. Then let the full spectrum of flavours overwhelm you. — 4 years ago

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave

Saint-Joseph Syrah 2017

Too young but you can tell this will be great with some aging. Blackberry, smoked meat and black pepper. Perfect with grilled porterhouse. — 4 years ago
