Thank goodness this was not like the last bottle we opened last year, which was definitely corked.

Deep garnet red with ruby hues. Tons of blue fruits, cherry cola, cinnamon and plums on the nose. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and strong acidity. A bit of alcohol on the palate that is not fully integrated into the wine yet. Notes of berries on the palate with a savory undertone, some tobacco, spices and eucalyptus. Medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2019.

Color of dark opaque purple with slight grey note on the rim. Nose of fragrant ripe cherry, raisin, strawberry ice cream, sweet oaky flavor, some violet, and actually some apricot/pear nose. Taste is very dry, with well structured tannins, significant note from tobacco leaves, ripe cherry, dried strawberries, some cocoa, milk chocolate, hint of graphite, and subtle acidity like balsamic vinegar. The flavors are plentiful to enjoy. Aftertaste is long and structured, with tannins slowly wining down and rest of the favors surfacing, tobacco leaves, subtle acidity, milk chocolate all existent.

Flawed.
Sadly this was corked with lots of TCA on the nose. Dee garnet red. Underneath the TCA was a touch of strawberries and dark cocoa. Dark berries on the nose with a touch of heat and baking spices. Hopefully the next bottle will do better.

Hellooooo, Delectible, thus us Exhibit C. Why isn't there an option to properly identify wines? You're not as smart as you think you are.

A good (but not great) bordeaux-style blend from Pax Mahle. Definitely on the downslope, but much better than Parker’s evaluation of this one in my opinion.
