La Mola Cannonau di Sardegna Cannonau

Light mouth feel of a Pinot, but with complex notes of ashy volcanic soil, tree bark and (hint of) berries. Tart acidity on mid palate

A poor man's southern Rhône. Red berries, white pepper, and some mustiness. It's definitely Grenache (or whatever they call it in Sardinia) but it could pass as a Pinot Noir. Easy drinking, low acid but with a spicy kicker. Good with pasta and food in general.
