I haven't enjoyed a wine so much in awhile. Dried fruit and tea leaves. Not as concentrated as most ripassos. Pairs perfectly with Parmiggiano reggiano and onion balsamic spread. A great value

The 2010 Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre is a blend of 70% Corvina Veronese, 25% Rondinella, and 5% Sangiovese. 30% of the harvested grapes are air-dried in a Ripasso-style, and are later incorporated into the newly vinified wine. It is this process that gives Palazzo Della Torre its signature style—full body and decadent, concentrated notes of dried figs, cherry skins, and Italian plum. In addition, smoldering notes of baked earth, fresh bark, tar and tobacco. A stunning value for around $20.00. 13.85% ABV

(**) red raspberries, maraschino cherry, med body with softened notes of oak, and a playful slap of raisinated concentration. Paired well with Bolognese.
