The second wine of Beychevelle, the 2015 is medium bodied, ripe with raspberries and some minerality that keeps it fresh. Very decent.

Apr 3rd, 2019The best second wine from Bordeaux I’ve tasted and also nice to finally have something from 2015 which is not just approachable but drinking well now. Wonderful nose of cherries, oak, vanilla and almonds. Palate is smooth, rich with a hint of sweetness l, plenty of dark fruit, tobacco, some liquorice and strangely enough, toasted hazelnut. Acid and tannins are in check leading to a dry but very pleasant finish. Great Bordeaux at a sensible price point.
