Contacto Monção & Melgaço Alvarinho

There’s a ripe stone fruit or possibly a papaya note right out of the gate as well as some fresh floral notes. It eludes to an air of springtime. On the palate it’s lush, savory, and briny. Overall it has bright Meyer lemon acidity and a beautiful balance of fruit and salt.
It would have paired perfectly with the oysters I tried to pick up on the way here…
Salmon is an adequate substitute!

Watermelon, cantaloupe, bay leaf, parsley, cilantro, ripe peach, pomegranate with a long salty finish dressed up in a floral/tropical fruit aroma ... Wow ! ... and Wow again ... What sorcery is this !?? ... Really really nice !!

I really wanted to find some Alvarinho & found this at Suburban Wines for $20. Really enjoyed it.

One of the WE top 100 but not sure why tbh. Pretty good but ...
