Awesome. Enough said. Nice fruit, really well balanced, solid with food.

Found this older vintage at Wine Watch in Fort Lauderdale. Deep garnet red. Layered nose with notes of dark cocoa leaves, blackberries, boysenberry, a semi hickory smoke and something almost like truffles. Medium bodied with moderate tannins (6/10). Started off tight and crispy with strawberries and mountain berries. As it aired out some more earthy notes appeared with some wet dirt. Medium plus finish with a little greenery. Drink till 2020.

Kind of an interesting wine. Garnet red pour. This is a deeper and slightly darker wine than the 2011 non-proprietary. It is smoky and darker red fruit. But has some sharp acidity throughout... Is a bit out of balance. Some herbal character in the finish. I think this one really needs to be cellared a little longer but this is the only one I have. Makes me wonder if the 15 Mtn Proprietary I have is gonna outlive me!

Solid wine. Plum on nose, good fruit on palate, and decent length on finish.

Grant Long is a legit winemaker, this has big fruit and tannins. Needs another year to mellow
